“KRAMA” is a well-made Cambodian garment with many uses, including scarf, face cover and towel. It is made from cotton and hand made. It is also used to protect from the sun, dust and wind. It can be used to carry stuff instead of in bags. Ladies tie it across body to carry babies.

I always bring one with me when I travel to churches in provinces. I mainly use it for two purposes: one, to dry my body and change from wet clothes to dry ones after a bath, and two, as a pillow.

I bought one on the way of our boat ride to replace the old one. This Christmas season my mother bought 40 of them to include in the gifts boxes, as we usually do, to deliver to places we celebrate Christmas.

I remember long time ago, in a weekly devotion at Chiang Mai Bible Institute (CBI), a preacher compared a servant of the Lord to the multi purpose use of the scarf. He has to prepare himself in any kind of work and circumstance for the Lord to use him. Sometime before, Paul wrote to Timothy: “preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching” (2Timothy4:2 ESV).
