June 2008 Update
Runnath Narin, the Director of the Good Shepherd Mission orphanage, recently supplied the photos below. Highlights include GSM's birthday
celebration, commemorating its thirteenth anniversary of service. During the celebration, recognition was given to some of the children, as
seen below; these children are "A" students at school and they have worked very hard. This is just one of many examples of the good influence
and solid leadership that is being provided to the children at Good Shepherd Mission by Narin and the GSM staff members. Additionally,
several of the older children were recognized for completing computer training in various skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
One of GSM's staff members, Mork Rothana, completed a short training course called the "Diamond Project" in March 2008. Narin writes that
this is a developing program for young people in the church to learn to be good leaders and to help their local congregation. Rachel,
Vuthy, Rothana, and Sok Vey (seen in a group photo below) have all completed this course.
Narin writes that the Khmer New Year was celebrated in Cambodia from April 13-15. As seen below, games and food were among the things that
the children at Good Shepherd Mission enjoyed during their New Year break from school.
