New Arrival at Good Shepherd Mission
Touch Chorn
This is Touch Chorn, a six-year-old who was taken in at Good Shepherd Mission on
September 29, 2005. Runnath Narin, Director of Good Shepherd Mission, writes: "Touch Chorn
came to our Good Shepherd Mission by our evangelist at Kampong Chhnang province. His father
was a farmer until five years ago, when he could no longer grow rice on his farm due to a
lack of water. His father went away to find money to earn, returning one year later. His
father stayed for about eight months, then left again looking for money to earn. Six months
later his father contracted HIV and later died. A year later, Touch Chorn's mother became
sick. She died in September 2005. When our evangelist told us about this, we sent for this
boy so he could come and live at Good Shepherd Mission."
Narin writes: "Touch Chorn is now at Good Shepherd Mission. He is beginning the 2nd grade
at Chaoporjaihok Primary School."
